Sometimes you wake up. Sometimes the fall kills you. And sometimes, when you fall, you fly.
Todd Faber, The Sandman by Neil Gaiman
Falling. Few can predict how deep the ditch that he will fall into next is. Few can predict how long they will fall. Few can predict how much they will be damaged.
Many, however, can predict that they will fall. Many can see the inevitable plunge into sadness, into misery. And that is the only way one can describe a fall. Inevitable.
Every single day of our life we are destined to fall in some little or big way. Some say that it is your attitude towards your failures that count. Some say that the only failure is in no longer trying.
I believe that both of these two are wrong. It is not the attitude nor the trying that justifies the fall. It is the ascension, the flying. It is the standing up after every fall. For failure does not include only falling. It also includes the refusal to get up.
A word of advice. The next time you fall, rise up. And try to fly.
